  1. I am so glad to have found your podcast!! Finally I can bask in commentary that is soley DS9 related, and I love that you are going episode by episode. As someone who has made it through all the episodes six times, I can just sit back, close my eyes, and listen to your views and let my mental image of the scenes play back in my mind.
I am enjoying the different takes on various plot developments, character evolutions, and witing/directing choices.
I find myself in complete agreement on many of the opinions, but did want to stress that this show is all about character growth and change over time, so to say that "I hate Kira because she is so bossy or flighty" is to do her a great injustice. I am using her as an example because she was really taken to task in the Past Prologue and Emmisary podcasts. I tend not to look at any of the characters concretely in the early seasons. They are all adapting to their new situations ie. no occupation, starfleet on the station, end of the resistance.
Only characters like Quark and Odo needed solid grounding because they had been there on Terok Nor for years before and are entrenched in the routine of life aboard the station. Their characters needed to be rather steadfast and unwavering because they would have motivations that remain relatively similar to life in the past. Their journeys of self discovery were already well underway.
Anyway, enough of my opinions. I am really hoping that the podcasts keep coming so that I can hear your thoughts on the greatest episodes which occur in the later seasons. Keep up the good work!!
If you want to see some of the original screen-used costumes from DS9 in my collection, just come to my blog Niner's Paradise. http://ninersparadise.blogspot.com/

    Best wishes to you all.

  4. I love everything you're doing here gang! My good friend Thot Pran first got me to go back and re-watch DS9 and it has now become my favorite Star Trek series. And several months ago Thot Pran turned me on to your podcasts and once again I was impressed and have become a huge fan. For whatever reason I've been a lurker to your broadcasting for several months now. But I've decided to finally come out into the open and let you know that I think your podcasts are great and Im very thankful to have a discussion strictly devoted to DS9! Keep up the good work guys and gal! Don't let those guys push you around Valerie! LOL

  5. Hey,
What perfect serendipity to find your podcast. Recently I decided I'd like to re-watch Deep Space Nine and, quite by accident, came across your project to watch an episode each week. I'm catching up with all the older podcasts at the moment and really enjoying it. Love the dynamic between you guys and, even when I don't always agree with your opinions, still find it very entertaining.

  13. Despite all the love of TOS/TNG/VOY all of you guys are the best for still doing a podcast for DS9, TOS is like soda, easy and fun, TNG is a Martini Smart and a quick drink, Voyager is like Beer simple, and you get the quick buzz, Enteprise is NyQuil, good for you, but you have to choke it down, and finally Ds9 is like a finely aged wine, the taste and smell lingers, and you take something from the experience.

  14. Love the Cast, I have all DS-9 on DVD, however I kinda did OD on DS-9. So, I am now into Enterprise, I still love your show and never miss a ep. I Love your chemistry, I can't wait until I get your take on Ezri, I have heard so many different stories as to why Terry Farrell left the show, some say she was written off, some say she wanted out, does anyone really know, she was my favorite character. I never got into Ezri, she did have a couple of good ep's Field of Fire was pretty good and so was the AR-558, besides those ep's I had very little use for her. Espically when Worf has sex with her, what was that about. My biggest complaint was in the final show as all the characters are leaving the station they are having all these memories, and all Worf remembers is Ezri???? it's as if Jadzia never existed, what was that about...I could go on however I'll save my rants for another post...LLAP

  15. I just starting listening to your podcast a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it! I've watched every episode at least five times over the years and it's really great to get another take on each one. The only thing that bothers me as I sit about half way through the second season is that I continuously have Valerie's voice in my head saying "Rao Vantika" over and over. Keep up the great work guys. Can't wait to get all the way through the seventh season. Any plans for when you get done with that?

  16. I started listening to your podcast a month or so ago and instantly fell in love. The format, content, pace, and chemistry of the cast are all excellent. Now that you you guys have finished I hope you will seriously consider creating "The Alpha Quadrant: A Gamma Quadrant Podcast" as a good TNG podcast is nowhere to be found. In any case, good luck on any future endeavors and thanks for all of your hardworking and dedication for our sake.
